InMaLanka is a non-profit organization registers under the French law 1901. Created in May 2008, the NGO has been recognised by the French official journal.

InMaLanka is the beneficiaries of development programs, InMaLanka is also you and it is an united team who seriously works and always in a good mood!

InMaLanka is made of different but complementary profiles. Just some people who truly care for development and solidarity. It is an equip trained both on the fields and at university, a mobile and international team.

Volunteers settled in Paris help us to organize events, update the website and also write articles.

InMaLanka is all of that!

InMaLanka’s team

Founder members : Margot Durin, Blanche Mattern, Ngilane Prince

Blanche Mattern, President, Asia project officer (Inde, Sri Lanka)

In 2002, her first travel in India totally seduced her. With the rucksack on her back, she then multiplied the stays in this beautiful country.

Little by little, she becomes more and more aware of the local needs and decided to join a NGO as a volunteer. She made there her first step as a secretary and then as vice-president and furthermore in charge of coordination in Sri Lanka.Since knowledge of the language and the culture is essential to better work on the field she learned Tamil and Sinhalese. She has been graduated of a Mphil’s degree in “International issues” and “risk management and identity issues” and a MA’s degree in “Crisis, emergency interventions and actions of development”. Thus, her formation gives her the necessary tools to contribute efficiently to InMaLanka actions.

Blanche works on programs for access to solar energy, health and education in partnership with the NGO Desire-India. She oversees nutritional program in Sri Lanka.

Margot Durin, Vice-President and Secretary, Asia project officer (Inde)

Margot travelled in India for the first time at the age of 18 and did there her first humanitarian mission. Her intervention with women and children from slums in the region of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, was for her a real shock. Back in Paris, she attended a formation in Eastern languages and civilisations at University. She chose to study East Asia and tamil language.

Since her first stay in India, five years ago, she put herself into numerous development actions : orphanages in Kathmandu, Nepal, nutritional humanitarian programs of international firms...

Margot goes all around the world : Eastern Europe, Finland, Burkina Faso, Mali, Nepal, India, Sri Lanka...She shares her experiences with pleasure and theses experiences are a real gift for InMaLanka.

Margot oversees the programs of the partnership Desire-India/InMaLanka.

Buddhima Perera, Sri Lanka project coordinator

The idea of participing in a concrete action for his country, Sri Lanka, was born in the heart of Buddhima years ago and in 2007, he joined for the first time a humanitarian organization.

Present since the foundation of InMaLanka, he remains committed  in an actively and voluntarily way in the development of projects set up on the field. His humour, his knowledges of the field and of the vulnerable children and his intuitions allow InMaLanka able to target the type of interventions to establish.

Buddhima is in Sri Lanka, and works on post flood rehabilitation actions and nutritional programs.
